Medical Missionary Training
Medical missionary work is the “right arm of the gospel”, and it is the work of “carrying the gospel to the sick and suffering” while meeting their physical needs and pointing them to Christ.
It is the ministry that “opens doors for the entrance of the truth” by following the example of Christ, who “went about doing good, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”
It involves “ministering to the sick and suffering”, “relieving the necessities of the needy”, and “teaching the people how to care for the body that God has given them”, while at the same time “presenting the gospel in connection with the work of healing.”
In essence, it is the work of uniting “physical healing with the proclamation of the gospel”, restoring both body and soul, and leading people to Christ through practical acts of mercy and truth in action.
